Many vendors like Russell’s Fireworks Kingdom, kicked off fireworks season Sunday morning.

Several customers like Torri Triplett came from Oklahoma to get their holiday favorites.

“We like to get the shopping done early because this place really does get packed,” Triplett said.

“The Firecracker King”, Russell Nettles who started the family business passed away in November with cancer, leaving his mother Patsy Hodgkins in charge.
