Las Vegas Shooting Victims ID’d

Confirmation of victim identifications has begun. Please say a prayer for these people:

Sandy Casey – Manhattan Beach (CA) Special Education Teacher – School Superintendent Michael Matthews said, “We lost a spectacular teacher who devoted her life to helping some of our most needy students.”

Sonny Melton – 29 year old nurse from Nashville, TN – Died protecting his wife from the shooter

Rachael Parker – 33 – a records technician and 10-year veteran at the Manhattan Beach (CA) Police Department – a police spokesperson said, ““She was just a great, great worker, always happy — definitely had her whole future ahead of her.”

Susan Smith – 53 – Office Manager of Vista Fundamental Elementary School in Simi Valley, CA – A school spokesperson said, “She was the hub of the school. She was the center of it. Everyone who came through those doors she knew. She knew the children, she knew the staff, she knew the parents.”

Neysa Tonks – Mother of 3 boys from Las Vegas who “brought joy, happiness, fun and laughter to so many of us. She has always been there for her community in time of need, and now we would like to do the same for her.”

Denise Burditis of West Virginia – Mother of two and soon-to-be grandmother of five, died in her husband’s arms.

Charleston Hartfield –  Off-Duty Las Vegas police officer – A military vet who coached youth football, his friend said, “I don’t know a better man than Charles. They say it’s always the good ones we lose early. There’s no truer statement than that with Charles.”

Adrian Murfitt – 35 – commercial fisherman from Alaska – Died in his friend’s arms. A friend described him as an Alaskan cowboy who loved animals.

John Phippen – 56 – the owner of a home remodeling company from Santa Clarita, CA, John was in the crowd with his son, Travis, when he was shot in the back. Travis suffered an arm wound in the attack.
