Robert Plant has been added to a concert celebrating former Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman’s 80th birthday taking place during London’s BluesFest in October.

The Led Zeppelin singer joins a bill that also promises appearances by Dire Straits’ Mark Knopfler, Bob Geldof and more, including Wyman and his touring unit the Rhythm Kings. The Bill Wyman Birthday Bash itself takes place October 28th at Indigo at the O2 in London. Tickets for the gig are on sale at Live Nation.

“This Bill Wyman concert is shaping up to be one of the gigs of the year,” BluesFest director Leo Green said in a statement.. “The addition of Robert Plant to an already monumental lineup is a clear indicator of the vast influence this incredible musician has had on the music world and we’re delighted that he’s chosen to celebrate this milestone birthday with us – who knows who else might turn up on the night to jump up onstage.”

Simply Red’s Mick Hucknall and singer Imelda May have also been recruited for the Bill Wyman Birthday Bash, the headlining performance at this year’s BluesFest London; that same night, Maxwell and Mary J. Blige will take the stage at the O2. Other events include a Van Morrison and Jeff Beck concert at the O2 on October 29th and a Bad Company and Richie Sambora gig on October 30th.

In March, Wyman revealed that he is battling prostate cancer, although the bassist said he expects to make a full recovery.
