Ozzy Osbourne and his son Jack take a joyride in an antique army tank in a clip from the duo’s upcoming History Channel series, Ozzy & Jack’s World Detour. All is going well, with the tank triumphantly rolling through muck as the Black Sabbath singer mans the gun hatch, until the vehicle stalls out.
After the tank conks out, Jack asks, “Oops, did I stall it?” before Ozzy accuses him of breaking the tank, leading to a hilarious father and son tête-à-tête. “So when you’re in battle, are you going to say to the Germans, ‘Hold on, Hans and Fritz, talk amongst yourselves, have a couple of Schnapps while I fix this tank, because it stalled out,” Ozzy says, exasperated.
The series, which premieres Sunday at 10pm. EST, finds the Osbourne men visiting Stonehenge, the Grand Canyon, Roswell, New Mexico, Mount Rushmore and Havana, Cuba, where they visit landmarks, learn about each spot’s history and riff on each other to no end. They filmed episodes between Ozzy’s touring commitments with Black Sabbath.
“After The Osbournes TV show, my son chose to go behind the camera and he’s got his own company,” Osbourne said of the show in an interview with Rolling Stone this past January. “He said, ‘Would you be interested in doing this show?’ And I went, ‘Oh, great, fine.’ I just got back from Cuba last week, which, incidentally, if you get any chance to go over there you should go, mate. It’s f—— great.”
