Laura got her start in radio at the ripe old age of…..8. After recording her first commercial at KLUR, she broke the news to her parents that no, in fact she was not going to be a rocket scientist, but wanted to play music and talk for a living. Her Mom fainted and Dad, well, he freaked out, to say the least(he wanted his kid to be an accountant). After they fully recovered from the shock of her decision, Laura took off for the bright lights and big city of Dallas. For over 20 years, she schmoozed the right people and made the rounds at a few radio stations as well as the world’s largest radio network where she was heard via satellite on over 200 stations across the country and all US military bases through Armed Forces Radio. Laura considers playing music for the troops and bringing them a little piece of home while fighting, her contribution to the war effort. She is a Wichita Falls native, a 1990 graduate of Old High and loves being back home and reconnecting with old friends. You can often find her hanging at live music shows around town. Laura’s idea of a vacation is sitting on a beach….toes in the water, ass in the sand with a margarita in each hand! Laura adores her 4, four-legged kiddos(dogs Jack, Joey, Jessie and Daisy), her idea of a bad-ass car is a 67 Mustang Fastback and in another life, she was the drummer for Joan Jett.
