"MAD" JOE MARTIN...THE DJ TOO UGLY FOR TELEVISION

Texas born and rock n roll raised in Denton, Joe made his way to Wichita Falls and KTRN AM 1290 in the Spring of '72 and rocked the Falls until '79.

From there Joe went to work on the air for many other stations in the city, most of which are long gone now...

in 1984, Joe introduced Texoma to a show called "Wax Trax" on KKQV, QV103. Joe's gig on QV103 lasted 7 years and finally brought him to 104 The BEAR where Joe signed on THEE Clasic Rock Station in 1997.

Joe held down the early morning show for a year on the BEAR and discovered he was allergic to getting out of bed at 4:30am...Joe left THE BEAR's morning show in '98 to continue with All Star Disc Jockeys...Joe's mobile DJ entertainment company he founded in 1975.

While attending the Las Vegas Mobile Disc Jockey Convention in 2006, the call came from THE BEAR that Joe was needed, and that's where you'll find him today.

Joe jumped on the first freight train out of Vegas and made his way back to THE BEAR.

The last 3 decades have been a real ride with many memorable radio experiences, a few of which Joe can even mention here...Joe says his show on the BEAR and his trip to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame are at the top of his radio experience list.

Meeting great BEAR listeners comes very close...

...and remember Joe's closing words of wisdom..."A good weekend in the Falls is one not spent at County Jail..."
