The singer announced the 21-date trek as a farewell to life on the road after more than six decades of touring. The schedule begins in Dublin on April 23 and continues through the UK and several European cities before wrapping up in Hanover, Germany, on July 24.

The tour will give fans another chance to hear songs from Stewart’s extensive catalog, which spans rock, pop, and soul and includes decades of familiar hits. Howard Jones is set to join him as the special guest for the UK and Ireland concerts.

While The Final Encore is being presented as Stewart’s final large-scale tour, it does not necessarily signal a complete retirement from music. The veteran performer has left open the possibility of occasional appearances after the tour concludes.

General ticket sales are scheduled to begin October 2, 2026.

During the ceremony, Krist Novoselic, Dave Grohl and Pat Smear accepted the honor together after Chuck D presented the award. In remarks from the stage, Novoselic reflected on the music videos that helped define Nirvana’s presence during the MTV era and highlighted Kurt Cobain’s creative role in shaping the band’s visual identity.

The award recognized a catalog of videos that became closely connected with Nirvana’s rise in the early 1990s. Songs including Smells Like Teen Spirit helped bring the Seattle band to a worldwide audience as Nevermind became one of the defining albums of its generation.

The VMAs have a long history with Nirvana. The band delivered a memorable performance at the 1992 ceremony, during a period when its influence was rapidly expanding beyond alternative rock.

Speaking on the Manchester City podcast Let Me Talk, Noel Gallagher described the reported outcome as a shock after the club had consistently denied wrongdoing. He said he felt particularly sorry for the supporters and players affected by the situation.

Asked whether the ruling changed how he viewed Manchester City’s past successes, Noel pointed to what supporters experienced on the pitch. He said he knew what he saw and felt during those moments and confirmed that he would continue supporting the club.

During the September 25 performance, Eddie Vedder was originally scheduled to appear with a group of friends. The set instead brought together Vedder and his Pearl Jam bandmates, with Laboriel filling in on drums. The group opened with Corduroy and moved through songs including Hail, Hail, Wishlist, Dark Matter, Even Flow, and Better Man before performing Baba O’Riley.

The appearance marked Pearl Jam’s first live performance since longtime drummer Matt Cameron departed the band in July 2025 after 27 years.

Laboriel is best known for his long-running role as Paul McCartney’s drummer, a position he has held since 2001. He also has an established connection with Vedder, having contributed to Vedder’s 2022 solo album Earthling and performed with his touring band.

For now, Laboriel’s appearance should be viewed as a fill-in performance. Pearl Jam has not announced him as a permanent replacement for Cameron.

In a recent exchange with a fan, the Oasis singer addressed whether Live ’27 should be considered a farewell tour. Gallagher said it is not being presented that way, while adding that it could still end up being the band’s final tour. He offered no further explanation about what might happen after the scheduled concerts.

The comment comes after Oasis confirmed another extensive tour following their successful 2025 reunion. Liam and Noel Gallagher reunited for that run after the band’s 2009 split, returning to stages together for the first time in more than a decade.

Live ’27 currently includes 42 shows across the UK, Ireland, mainland Europe and the United States, with additional dates added following strong demand.

For now, the focus remains on touring. Noel Gallagher has also confirmed that the 2027 shows will not be accompanied by new Oasis music, leaving the band’s plans beyond Live ’27 undefined.

Details shared around the album reveal that Parton recorded her vocals in June 2026 while dealing with health issues. Bono said she got out of bed to complete the performance, adding an especially personal weight to the collaboration. The song also involves Snow Patrol musician Johnny McDaid, who helped develop lyrics centered on a mother watching her family come apart.

The collaboration took shape after Bono originally approached Parton about a different project connected to Irish folk music. Parton instead brought Torn into the conversation, leading to the version completed with U2.

Producer Jacknife Lee said Parton heard the finished mix before her death and was pleased with the result.

Torn is scheduled to appear as the final track on Carnaval De Luz, which is set for release on November 13, 2026.

Organizers confirmed the U.S. return as plans for a new chapter of the festival continue to take shape. A specific city, venue, date, lineup, and ticket information have not yet been announced. The news also follows confirmation of an Ozzfest event planned for Birmingham, England, adding to the festival’s broader comeback.

Launched in 1996, Ozzfest became one of the most recognizable touring festivals in heavy music. Over the years, it featured major rock and metal acts while also giving developing artists a chance to reach larger audiences.

The festival’s most recent U.S. edition took place in Inglewood, California, on December 31, 2018. More information about the 2027 American event is expected as organizers finalize the details.

The surprise performance continued a musical connection that has developed over several years. Underwood previously opened for Guns N’ Roses in 2023 and also shared the stage with Rose at Stagecoach in 2022, showing a side of her musical taste that reaches well beyond country.

Rock has become a more visible part of Underwood’s live performances in recent years. She has incorporated songs associated with artists including Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Papa Roach and Collective Soul into her sets.

The tribute concert at Rod Laver Arena brought together more than 120 performers and musicians, with Keith Urban, Jimmy Barnes, Tina Arena, Jessica Mauboy and Human Nature among those taking part. International artists also contributed remotely, adding to the scale of the event.

The newly announced Live ’27 schedule includes 11 hometown shows at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium, followed by stops in Munich, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Paris and Rome. The itinerary then moves to the United States for three shows at Gillette Stadium near Boston and three at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

September will bring two concerts at Ireland’s Slane Castle before Oasis return to Knebworth for four shows on September 11, 12, 18 and 19. The location carries special significance for the band, which famously played two enormous concerts there in 1996.

Richard Ashcroft has been confirmed as the special guest for all 38 dates. The tour follows Oasis’ successful 2025 reunion, which brought Liam and Noel Gallagher back onstage together after a 16-year break.
